With over 15 years in the beauty industry I saw many therapists struggle to gain the skills, confidence and credentials they needed. I founded Jane Bryan Beauty Training to provide training that is rigorous, supportive and tailored to real-world practice, helping people move from learning to earning, and from employed to self-employed or business-owner.
The training business began by offering local courses in the UK and Spain, then expanded into a network of accredited programmes: CPD courses, electrical treatments, semi-permanent make-up, holistic therapy and more. We embraced blended learning (theory at home, practical in class) and built a trainer pathway so experienced therapists could teach too.
As referrals and word-of-mouth grew, so did our national and international footprint. We now serve students across the UK and beyond, working with therapists, salon owners and aspiring trainers. Our focus has remained on delivering the skills, support and credentials needed to thrive in beauty.
If I had my time again, I'd create more video-led content and client success stories earlier to showcase outcomes and inspire trainees. I'd formalise an online entry-level course sooner so people can start even before committing to the full in-person training, and I'd build more strategic partnerships with salons and industry brands to widen placement and employment opportunities for our graduates.
Looking ahead, I intend to roll out more online modules, expand our trainer network even further (UK and Europe) and launch master-classes in advanced beauty fields such as medical aesthetics and business growth for salons. My vision is that when a beauty professional or learner asks "Where can I train for serious credentials, support and success?" they think of Jane Bryan Beauty Training first.
