I’m Katie and I co-founded The Wedding Business Hub alongside my incredible business partner Roxy. We’re passionate about helping businesses in the wedding industry build sustainable, profitable and joy-filled businesses, without the burnout.
My background is in business and bridal, working in the industry where I was constantly being asked how we were growing on social, how we were getting booked out, or how we outgrew our shop while others were struggling to get appointments. Coaching started naturally and informally - people would pop in or message to “pick my brain,” and I loved being able to help.
Outside of work, I’m either out walking my dog, indulging in some window shopping, learning something new in the online business world, or hanging out with my kids (usually watching my daughter shine in her latest drama performance).
Roxy came into the business through our bridal shop and quickly became the go-to for managing the team. She’s got a brilliant mix of calm energy and no-nonsense delivery. She loves to cook, she’s often at gymnastics comps with her mini-me or teaching her boys to drive, and she always has a good novel or personal development book on the go.
We provide coaching and support for wedding suppliers who want booked-out diaries years in advance-without working 24/7.
Our group coaching programme is called WedPro CEO. We also have a content membership called The Content Vault, and we run Wedcon, a national event for wedding pros to connect and learn. Inside our hub, we offer templates, social media guides and caption prompts to help save time and reduce overwhelm.
We created The Wedding Business Hub because we didn’t see anything else like it. We wanted to create a space that brought suppliers together-where community came first, and support was real. Traditional networking didn’t quite fit the wedding industry, and typical business coaching felt too generic. We knew it needed to be different.
We had both felt completely burned out trying to do and learn all the things, while not having people around us who really understood what we were building. We were constantly being asked how we were growing online, especially when our Facebook Lives were pulling in over 20,000 viewers at a time. That, and other wedding suppliers who kept dropping in on my shop, made us realise this needed to be a proper room and a place for real conversations.
We started by launching a networking event for wedding suppliers. And it exploded. Within three weeks, we had over 3,500 suppliers interested. What we thought would be a local meet-up became a national movement. In six months, we’d hosted over 100 events across the UK.
As we connected with more people, the coaching side naturally evolved. After Covid hit and in-person events stopped overnight, we shifted our focus online. The industry was hit hard. Suppliers needed structure and support, and we felt like we could genuinely help.
There were definitely challenges. The business grew faster than we could keep up with, and we didn’t have systems in place to manage it. We went global within six months and were learning everything on the go. When in-person events shut down, 90% of our business disappeared. We tried to pivot quickly, but Zoom fatigue was real. What kept us going was sticking to what we do best-talking, connecting and showing up to help.
We started small. One £5 E-book on Instagram marketing made over £5k in a month. That was the moment I knew I had to go all in.
What started as one idea for a local networking event is now a platform that supports over 15,000 wedding suppliers. We’ve got online hubs, communities, and courses. We run Wedcon annually, we host guest workshops with specialist coaches, and we’ve built a coaching programme that really gets results.
We also launched The WedPro Podcast to continue the conversations we were having behind the scenes and give even more value to our audience.
Our best marketing strategies:
What makes us unique? We’re business owners but also women and mums too, and we’re still in the trenches with our community. We not only appreciate and understand the challenges suppliers face, and we coach with empathy, clarity and directness but we also understand the struggle, we know its not as easy as just ‘charging your worth’ and we are great at explaining concepts in very easy to understand (if not a little crazy!) ways.
The biggest lesson? Invest in yourself early. Whether it’s in your team, systems or education-those investments have been the most important factor in our growth.
We also learned how to adapt quickly. Losing in-person events overnight was a blow, but we bounced back by focusing on community and conversation first, sales second.
If we had to do it all again, we’d prioritise building systems sooner, and we’d give ourselves permission to hire help earlier.
Start messy: you don’t need to have it all figured out. Just get going and refine as you grow.
Mindset matters more than anything. Honestly, 80% of success is believing you can do it. Neither of us thought we’d end up running a global business, standing on stage accepting awards from the King, or running live masterclasses for thousands and yet here we are! If i’d never just gone for it and figured some of the details out later I’d not have had half the experiences or lessons I've had.
Both Roxy and I have faced our own share of personal challenges. We parent children with additional needs, and that’s taught us to be resilient and flexible. It’s also given us a deep understanding of how different people learn, and that’s shaped how we coach. We meet people where they’re at, always.
Our biggest goal is to take Wedcon global and bring our events to more wedding pros worldwide.
We’re continuing to grow our membership, refine our systems and hopefully carve out some better balance in the process. We’re five years into building this business, and we’ve finally got solid lead generation, a proven programme and a community that trusts us.
Now it’s about living the business-not just building it. Whether it’s an extra family holiday, a bigger car, or just a bit more breathing room, we want this business to give back to us and our families, too.

Feeling like your enquiries have slowed to a crawl lately?
You’re not alone, and it’s not your fault.
We work with wedding pros every single day, and this is one of the most common things we’re hearing right now:
“I feel like I’m showing up all the time … but I’m still not getting booked.”
If that’s you, we have a free private podcast episode (plus a step-by-step blog) covering the real reasons this is happening - and exactly what to do to fix it.
