Heartcentred Wellbeing: Body, Mind & Subconscious Shifts

Michelle Shelden on Building Heartcentred Wellbeing: Integrating Body, Mind and Subconscious

I'm Michelle Shelden, founder of Heartcentred Wellbeing, based around Broadstairs, Kent. I offer wellbeing coaching, yoga, breathwork, PSYCH-K® sessions, and mindset work, and I work both in person and online. I support clients to reprogram subconscious limiting beliefs and build habits of peace, balance, and clarity. I also deliver corporate wellbeing programs, workshops, self-development coaching, and holistic health support for mind, body, and soul.

Integrating Physical, Energetic and Mental Dimensions

I'm qualified in yoga, Ayurveda, sports yoga and PSYCH-K®. Over time I saw that many people seeking yoga or life coaching also needed deeper subconscious shifts, unseen beliefs, patterns, stress blocks. I formed Heartcentred Wellbeing to integrate the physical, energetic and mental dimensions of change: movement, mindset and subconscious reprogramming together.

I wanted to offer people a path beyond quick fixes, so they align internally and sustainably, and truly shift from inside out.

Launching Locally and Expanding Online

At first, I offered one-to-one yoga and coaching locally in Broadstairs and the surrounding area. I gradually incorporated online sessions so I could support people beyond my immediate geography. I posted on social media, shared free tips and led small local workshops to build trust. As enquiries grew, I formalised my service structure: defining coaching packages, yoga programmes, PSYCH-K modules, breathwork practices and corporate offerings.

Explaining Subtle Modalities and Building Hybrid Models

One early challenge was how to explain more subtle modalities like PSYCH-K to people unfamiliar with them. I responded by offering free or low-cost introductory sessions and clear educational posts. Over time, clients saw experiences rather than just descriptions, which built trust.

Another challenge was capacity: balancing in-person sessions with demand and online work. To address that, I leaned more into:

  1. Hybrid models
  2. Group sessions
  3. Automating booking and client intake systems

Growing with Clients Across Kent and Online

While many of my in-person clients are local to Kent, my wellbeing coaching and subconscious rewiring work now reaches people across the UK and abroad through Zoom sessions. I run corporate wellbeing programs, workshops, group retreats, and talks for workplaces. My presence on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram helps me share insights about mindset, wellbeing, and transformation. That content tends to attract people resonating with deeper work.

What Makes Heartcentred Wellbeing Different

I'm not "just a coach" or "just a yogi." The integration is central: combining physical (yoga, breathwork), mental (coaching), energetic and subconscious work (PSYCH-K). Clients often say they get insights and shifts more deeply than they ever expected.

I also tailor the pace: not rush, but meet people where they are. Safety, trust and alignment matter more than speed.

Moreover, I work at multiple levels. For example, a coaching goal is supported by:

  1. A breathwork practice
  2. A PSYCH-K belief shift

The holistic layering gives better results than working only one dimension.

Lessons for Other Wellbeing Founders

  • Be willing to explain your lesser known tools patiently: Use stories, examples and client experiences to show rather than tell.
  • Start small and refine your offerings: Don't launch every modality at once; begin with your strongest, test, get feedback, then expand.
  • Make systems early: Booking, onboarding, client check-ins need structure if you want to scale.
  • Own your niche and let people know what makes you unique: It will filter in the right clients.

What I'd Build and Formalize Earlier

If I were to do it again, I'd build my content library earlier with recorded sessions, educational clips, and mini courses to funnel people in. I'd formalize the onboarding experience from the start with a welcome module, orientation video, and journal prompts. Also, I'd begin partnerships earlier with corporates, wellness centers, and therapists to bring in referral streams.

Creating Group Cohorts and Retreat Days

I plan to create group coaching cohorts and self-paced courses, such as "Subconscious Reset" and "Mindful Habits," combining live and recorded content. I want to run retreat days or immersive workshops in Kent or the coast, combining yoga, breathwork, mindset, and group healing. I also aim to deepen corporate wellbeing work with bespoke packages for teams, stress resilience, and mental health support. Finally, I will expand my online content through videos, mini trainings, and webinars, and build a larger community around transformation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is Heartcentred Wellbeing?

Heartcentred Wellbeing, founded by Michelle Shelden, is a unique approach to personal growth that combines several practices. It integrates wellbeing coaching, yoga, breathwork, and PSYCH-K® sessions to help you reprogram limiting subconscious beliefs and create lasting habits of peace and clarity.

What makes this approach different from just yoga or coaching?

The key difference is the integration. Instead of focusing on just one area, this method addresses the physical (yoga, breathwork), mental (coaching), and subconscious (PSYCH-K®) dimensions of your wellbeing together. This holistic layering helps you achieve deeper and more sustainable shifts than you might with a single practice alone.

Can I work with Michelle if I don't live in Kent?

Yes, absolutely. While Michelle offers in-person sessions for those local to the Broadstairs area in Kent, she also provides extensive online support. You can access wellbeing coaching and subconscious rewiring work through Zoom sessions, no matter where you are in the UK or even abroad.

What is PSYCH-K® and how does it help?

PSYCH-K® is a powerful modality used to work directly with your subconscious mind. It helps identify and shift unseen beliefs, hidden patterns, and stress blocks that may be holding you back. It's a core part of the Heartcentred Wellbeing method for creating change from the inside out.
