I'm Michael Glassock, and I lead Michael Glassock Coaching, specialising in leadership and career coaching. I help clients clarify their career direction, build professional confidence, develop strategies for transitions, and map practical next steps toward meaningful work. You can find my approach, services and philosophy on my website and via LinkedIn.
Throughout my own career journey, I saw how many capable people feel stuck, unsure how to move forward, pivot, or align their work with their values and purpose. Even with talent or aspiration, navigating career choices, imposter thoughts and uncertainty is hard. I became a coach to support professionals in navigating that ambiguity, helping them move from where they are to where they want to be, with clarity and confidence.
I believe work should feel meaningful, and that clarity of direction stems from aligning values, strengths and opportunity. My coaching centres on that alignment, not generic "follow your passion" advice.
The career coaching space is crowded with generic advice and motivational platitudes, but I noticed something essential missing: practical, grounded support for smart professionals navigating real transitions. Many people were experiencing:
I wanted to create a coaching practice that bridges these gaps, helping clients align their values, strengths and opportunities while building actionable roadmaps for meaningful career progress.
Originally, I offered one-to-one sessions to people in my network, friends, colleagues, or professionals making transitions. I gathered testimonials, refined coaching templates (discovery, goal setting, action plans) and sharing my coaching practice on social media.
My coaching practice has several long term packages, that allow my clients to see meaningful change in their career journey. These packages not only transform their career but can have such an impact on transformation in their wider life.
One challenge was establishing credibility in a crowded coaching space. I addressed it by focusing my narrative: not "career coach for everyone," but someone who guides smart, driven professionals through real transitions. I used my own story and client stories to build authenticity.
Over time I've worked with clients at various stages: recent graduates, mid-career professionals considering pivot, executives seeking fulfilment. Many come via referrals, LinkedIn visibility or content I share through my social media platforms.
I also host group sessions or webinars that help people experience my coaching style, attract warm leads, and scale impact.
Our approach follows the Identity, Path, Action pillars.
Identity- Focuses on values, skills, preferences for work and your strengths.
Path- Focuses on ideas for suitable careers and visualisation of your future goals.
Action- Focuses on experimenting with career paths, networking, CV, Linkedin and interviews.
We also have a focus on wellbeing as the foundation for any career transition, this aspect of my coaching practice is run by my wife Jess. This includes content on our online portal aimed at wellbeing, as well as live monthly yoga sessions.
The strategies that have proven most effective for growing Michael Glassock Coaching include:

I aim to continue posting daily to social media platforms to boost my visibility.
I also hope to partner with universities, corporates and professional bodies to work with them to use coaching to aid their staff development.
