I'm Grace, and I run The Untitled, a brand storytelling studio based in Bath, England. Why I started The Untitled

The idea behind The Untitled came from something I kept noticing. Founder after founder was showing up online with polished logos and tidy social feeds, but something was missing. The rich raw story and heart. The reason they started. The thing that would make someone stop scrolling and actually care.

Most brand help on the market was built for corporate teams with big budgets and a marketing department. What I saw was a generation of small business owners, not-for-profits and independent founders who had something genuinely worth saying, but no clear way of saying it. Generic content advice wasn't going to cut it. These founders needed brand storytelling that was rooted in who they actually are.

So I built The Untitled around that belief: that your most powerful marketing asset is the story only you can tell.

How I launched The Untitled from Bath

After years of helping clients in Australia scale, effectively starting from scratch meant doing the work before anyone was watching. I developed a methodology built on three pillars: Clarity, Creation, and Continuity. Clarity means getting to the root of your brand positioning before we create a single piece of content. Creation is the visual and written work itself, photography, film, and written content made with your audience in mind. Continuity is what turns a brand shoot into a sustainable, consistent presence.

From there, I structured services into three tiers: Foundation, Build, and Scale. Foundation is where most clients start. It's about establishing the core of your brand story, getting clear on who you are, who you're for, and how to express that visually. Build takes that foundation and turns it into content. The Untitled also offer Family sessions alongside the business work, as they are often closely intertwined. These films are little documentaries that capture the reality, mess and love in our lives.

I focused on delivering results that were specific and real, then letting clients speak for themselves. Lessons I would share with other founders

Get clear on your story before you try to scale your content. I've seen founders spend months producing content that doesn't land, not because the content is badly made, but because the brand positioning underneath it is fuzzy or the confidence isn’t there. Clarity first, always.

Ask for specific feedback from clients, not just "was it good?" but "what changed? What did you do differently? What result can you point to?" Those specifics are what build a real reputation and help you refine your process over time.

And show up as yourself. The founders who attract the most aligned clients are the ones who are honest about who they are, including the parts that aren't perfectly polished.

What I would do differently now

I would have built the educational side of the business earlier. There is so much I've learned about brand storytelling, what works, what doesn't, and why, that would genuinely help founders even before they're ready to work with a studio. Sharing that knowledge builds trust and attracts the right clients. I'm working on that now, alongside having daily mindfulness and gratitude hacks built into the programmes to keep you excited about moving forward. 

I would also have been more deliberate about documenting client outcomes from the start. The results were always there. I just wasn't always capturing them in a form that would be useful later.

What is next for The Untitled in Bath

The next phase for The Untitled is building out the content and educational side of the brand. That means written guides and resources for founders on brand storytelling, what it is, how it works, and why it matters more than most founders realise, particularly now that AI tools are changing how brands get discovered online.

I'm also focusing on making The Untitled's existing case study work more visible. The client results are strong. The stories behind them deserve to be told properly.

The Foundation, Build, and Scale service structure will continue to evolve as I learn more about what different founders need at different stages of their business. The goal is always the same: help you build a brand that sounds like you, looks like you, and works for you consistently over time.
